Get started

Open Shelfmark in your Shopify admin. On Home, click Choose label stock and pick the labels you have. Then open any product, click More actions, and choose Shelfmark labels.

My labels don't line up

Open your design and click Print calibration page. Print it at 100% (Actual size, not Fit to page) on plain paper and hold it over a blank label sheet against a window. If the boxes sit right of the labels, enter a negative Move right value; too low, a negative Move down. If the 100 mm line measures 98 mm, set Scale to 102%.

Dymo, Zebra, Rollo and Brother printers

Roll labels print one label per page. In the print dialog, choose the paper size that matches your label (for example 30336 Multipurpose) and Scale 100%. If your driver prints the label sideways, turn on Rotate the page 90° in the design. On Plus, Zebra users can download ZPL instead.

Starting on a partly used sheet

On Print labels, click the first blank label in the sheet diagram. From the Print menu, set Start at label.

Printing one label per item in stock

Pro: on Print labels, click Use on-hand stock, or choose 1 label per unit in stock in the Print menu. Set the location to count in Settings. Plus can pick a location for each print.

Missing SKUs or barcodes

Barcodes & SKUs finds variants with missing, duplicate or unscannable codes, shows the proposed values, and writes them only when you click Apply. New barcodes use the GS1 in-store range (prefix 200–299), which never clashes with real product barcodes. To sell through other retailers, buy GS1 barcodes instead.

Text in Cyrillic, Greek, Chinese, Japanese and similar

Labels use the standard Helvetica font, which covers Latin alphabets. Other characters print as a question mark for now. Email us if you need them and we'll prioritize it.

Upgrading or canceling

Plans are managed by Shopify. Open Shelfmark, go to Settings, and click Change plan; charges appear on your Shopify bill.
